For the first time in Colorado, undocumented individuals and DACA recipients can get access to health insurance through the health insurance marketplace! The Colorado Consumer Health Initiative (CCHI) has created these health insurance guides to help advocates and individuals navigate health insurance for the first time!

OmniSalud 2024 Health Insurance Guides:

What health insurance plans to immigrants in Colorado have access to?
Immigrants have access to financial assistance for private health insurance plans, including lower out-of-pocket costs and $0 premiums through the OmniSalud Silver Enhanced Savings Program. These Silver Enhanced Savings spots are limited to 11,000 individuals per year and have already been filled for 2024. We’re hoping to continue expanding this critical resource.

Additionally, undocumented immigrants have access to Colorado Option plans, a selection of private insurance plans, operated through OmniSalud (Colorado Connect). The Colorado Option requires a standardized plan to be offered by private insurance companies, with culturally competent provider networks and requires premiums to be reduced by 15% by 2025. Since Colorado Option insurance plans are standardized, it is easier for consumers to compare the plans. Learn more: cohealth.co/CoOption
