From December 1st through December 4th, CIRC Federal Steering Committee leaders walked a 60-mile pilgrimage from Denver to Greeley to urge Congresswoman Caraveo and Senators Bennet & Hickenlooper to support creating a pathway to citizenship by updating the registry law. The pilgrimage passed through major cities in Congressional District 8, where leaders met with local communities and hosted events to raise awareness and build support for the bill to update the registry and create a pathway to citizenship for an estimated 8.5 million.

The Denver Post wrote “Colorado immigrants want Congress to expand pathway to citizenship. They walked 60 miles to amplify their message.” There was also strong coverage from the Greeley tribune in their article titled, “‘We want solutions’: Activists call for Rep. Caraveo’s support of immigration reform.”

Below are more of the articles covering the pilgrimage.
