The Docuteam is seeking committed volunteers to support community members directly impacted by ICE and immigration detention. Volunteers play a critical role in helping document the cases and testimonies of individuals directly impacted by ICE operations. The role of the documenter is to empower individuals by connecting them to resources, strategizing ideas on how to proceed with their cases and helping uplift their stories. These testimonies also help us pass laws that protect our communities. Since volunteers will be working directly with community members it is preferred for volunteers to speak Spanish or a language other than English. We have an upcoming in-person training on October 4th from 9 AM to 3 PM in Colorado Springs!!! (location will be disclosed after registration).

El Docuteam está buscando voluntarios comprometidos para apoyar a los miembros de la comunidad directamente afectados por ICE y la detención de inmigrantes. Los voluntarios juegan un papel crítico en ayudar a documentar los casos y testimonios de individuos impactados directamente por las operaciones de ICE. El papel del documentador es empoderar a las personas conectándolas con recursos, ideando estrategias sobre cómo proceder con sus casos y ayudando a levantar sus historias. Estos testimonios también nos ayudan a aprobar leyes que protegen a nuestras comunidades. Dado que los voluntarios trabajarán directamente con los miembros de la comunidad, se prefiere que hablen español o un idioma diferente al inglés. ¡Tenemos una capacitación presencial próximamente el 4 de octubre de 9 a.m. a 3 p.m. en Colorado Springs!
