CIRC is proud to be featured in the National Immigration Law Center’s report, “On the Path Toward Health for All: A Winning Strategy.” This report captures the challenges and opportunities within the cross section of immigrant rights and healthcare policy at the state and national level and goes in depth on state strategies that have proven effective to expand access at the local level. CIRC’s Cover All Coloradans campaign – which expanded Medicaid like services to undocumented children and pregnant people in Colorado – is highlighted in this report for our powerful work to bring community led policy making into the healthcare policy making space. This report tells the in depth story of how CIRC’s membership and the state of Colorado have evolved over time from primarily focusing on ICE resistance and expanding basic protections to tackling healthcare access.
