Coloradans Stand in Solidarity with Los Angeles Against Military Crackdown and Attacks on Immigrant Families

Denver, CO — The Trump administration has unleashed the military and law enforcement on our families in Los Angeles—deploying National Guard troops, escalating fear, and attempting to silence everyday people who dare to speak out for dignity and justice.

Rather than listen to the cries for freedom, safety, and humanity, the administration has responded with force—falsely branding protesters as “rioters” to justify their assault on our communities. But people are not backing down. Across the country, families are rising up to stop this hostile takeover of our government and defend the freedoms we all hold dear.

Coloradans stand in solidarity with Los Angeles. We are calling for an emergency solidarity protest on Tuesday, June 10th at 5:30 PM at the Colorado State Capitol to stand with the people of Los Angeles and reject this violent power grab.

“This is more than a protest. It’s a call to defend our future,” said Raquel Lane-Arellano, Communications Manager with the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition. “The Trump administration is trying to turn our government into a weapon—unleashing the military on immigrants, workers, and anyone who won’t bow to their agenda. This administration’s actions endanger our families, our freedoms, and our future—but together, we can protect what truly makes this country great: our commitment to each other.”

“This is a turning point. A moment where we must rise—not just for our immigrant neighbors, but for the soul of our democracy. When those in power spread lies about immigrants to justify violence, it’s not just about immigration—it’s about control. They want to decide who belongs, who is safe, and who gets to have a voice,” shared Alfonso Espino, an organizer with the Party for Socialism and Liberation.

But we know better. And we are building something stronger.
