The Colorado Rapid Response Network is a coalition of immigration, religious, and legal nonprofits – one of those organizations being the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition. It runs on 3,000 statewide volunteers that provide a 24/7 hotline, a hub for the community to report Immigration and Customs Enforcement sightings. After receiving the phone call, another group of volunteers are then sent to confirm the activity, document the scene, and speak to locals and hand out “Know Your Rights” cards. CIRC communications manager and CORRN dispatcher, Raquel Lane-Arellano, says “the purpose is to make sure people have the facts and that we try to dissuade some fear because what the Trump administration wants is for our people to be afraid all the time.” Read the full article here.
