In cities around the country, some 8,000 Marriott workers are on strike. Under the banner of "One Job Should Be Enough," housekeepers, bellmen, cooks, and servers are fighting for a living wage, year-round healthcare, and respect. These workers are taking on the richest, most powerful hotel corporation in the world. From Boston to Hawaii, many have now been on the picket line for over a month. Their struggle and their slogan are becoming a rallying cry for the whole working class.
Marriott has sent out a nationwide call for scabs to take the jobs of the striking workers. Under federal labor law, that means UNITE HERE and its allies can now demonstrate in solidarity at businesses owned by Marriott but not on strike.Find out more »
