Public Charge Notice:

The United States Customs and Immigration Service (USCIS) urges anyone with symptoms that resemble Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) (fever, cough, shortness of breath) to seek necessary medical treatment or preventive services.  Such treatment or preventive services will not negatively affect any alien as part of a future Public Charge analysis.

Message from CIRC Staff:

Our local and state governments have taken drastic measures to limit the spread of the virus, including shutting down the capitol, libraries, school districts, and many workplaces, causing drastic impacts for immigrant communities across our state. We recognize that many people in our communities, including our immigrant communities and undocumented communities, will be the most impacted by the crisis.

The state restaurant shut downs, firings at hotels, etc., is causing a loss of work and income and many immigrants are not eligible for the unemployment benefits being made available to US citizens and LPRs. Some immigrants face additional challenges to access resources because they are excluded from public services. The economic crisis caused by the virus will exacerbate the socio-economic, health and immigration disparities immigrant communities already face. We must care for one another now more than ever.

Caring for each other is the right thing to do and it is also the pathway to creating the communities where everyone is included and thrives.

Here is a document with resources in Colorado available at this time.

We will continue to build on these lists as more resources become available.
